Mozilla has always
captivated the market attention with it magnificent versions of Firefox web
browser, utilitarian addons and plugins and feature-rich Firefox toolbars. Making
the world a lot easier for developers, Firefox launched the beta of its latest
browser version 16 after the recent launch (about a week ago) of Firefox
version 15. The beta is also known as Firefox Aurora 16.
What’s hot with the new
Firefox? The browser offers support to the web developers. Improving the
experience for developers, Mozilla engaged in flawless toolbar development for Firefox
16, enabling web developers to quickly access the tools. The toolbar is
accessible by hitting F2 key from the keyword or by using the web developer
menu.
Basically, the purpose of
launching the new toolbar is to provide faster and simpler access than ever
before. The main attraction of the developer’s tools is the Command Line Tool/
Interface (CLT/ CLI). CLI is a web console, which allows viewing all the
information about the web page’s log messages. CLI is “quick-to-type”. It is
designed to complete the commands and parameters as you type. The CLI is of no
use to the web users, but it has proved to accelerate development work as
typing produces results faster than toggling screens and various menus. For
example, if a developer wants to resize an image to 320x480 pixels, he can
simply type “resize to 320 480” in the command line, and CLI will execute the
task.
Apart from CLI, Firefox 16
has entrenched various other features including, the user can control the
debugger, alter CSS suing the style editor, view and inspect page elements and
view the mobile version of the page using Responsive Design View Tool. The toolbar
essentially supports the 3D page visualization tool; it helps to control the
Tilt.
Firefox
toolbar development has always been pragmatic. The Firefox toolbars are
always made extensible to add more elements as and when the web progress
happens.
