Plugins, in a real sense,
are extensions. We would describe a plugin as a piece of software designed and
developed to perform a specific task. The most common example is a Flash
Plugin. Most of the browsers that do not have in-built support for Flash can play
the animations using Plugins for Flash. They are made browser compatible.
